PANTS!

I went out on a limb today. I decided that I would do something that all previously pregnant women dread doing. I tried on my pre-pregnancy pants! I've been wearing my pre-pregnancy, pre-weight loss pants up until now. The pants that I've been wearing have worn so thin that I've got the trendy "hole-in-the-knee," but I didn't buy the pants that way - I made them that way over the years! I love them, they're fabulous, just not always appropriate for every occasion.

So, I did it, I tried on my "skinny pants" that I was able to wear when I got down to my goal weight {that I'm not at yet this go round.} I was scared out of my mind. There was no way they were going to fit, but I had to try them on again at some point. Why not today? I got to my hips and they went up over them. I got to my butt and they went up over it. I got to the point that I needed to button/zip them and they buttoned and zipped! THEY FIT {and I could breathe!}

I no longer have pants in my closet that are too small! {I still have pants in my closet that don't look awesome, but they go on and they zip and as long as I'm not wearing a super fitted shirt, you'd never know that they give a tiny squeeze at the top!} I never thought this day would come. It has been hard to drop the pounds after Hunter and I've been wanting the pounds to just melt away. But they aren't. I'm having to work my tail off to get the number on the scale to get smaller. But today I'm not going to focus on the number. I'm going to focus on the fact that my pants all fit! Now to get to work on that pair of shorts that didn't quite zip nicely...

  1. Way to go! That's a huge accomplishment! Especially after two kiddos--you're my inspiration! :)
