Messy
Yes, it's very messy. It starts as a messy ordeal during labor and delivery and I'm not sure your life is ever clean or picked up ever again! We hosted a play date this week with 8 kids, including Eden and Hunter, this week and the house was a wreck before and the house was a disaster after. But you know something. I wouldn't change anything about it because Eden loves to talk about her friends and the games they play even when they aren't around anymore. If we're going to the playground she asks if her friends are going to be there. I love having friends here for Eden, and I love going to friends' homes to share the messes. Even if we don't have friends over our house is torn apart. Even if our house is clean, our kids are a mess. Eden is cutting another molar {they're coming in one at a time...boo!} and her nose is constantly draining! Her face is always a mess after a meal. Hunter is always spitting up after he nurses. Let's not even get into the fact that we have multiple diaper changes on any given day. So there you have it. The kids are making memories and the parents are constantly picking up messes - and I wouldn't change it for anything!
